Asia Enterprise Risk Manager

The Manager, Asia Enterprise Risk Management will report to the Head of Advanced Analytics and Automation (RAA) in Global Risk Intelligence and Technology (GRIT) function, supporting Asia Segment function mission and vision. The role will have matrix reporting to the AVP, Head of Risk Governance in the Asia Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team and will work closely with senior members of the Asia ERM team to perform assigned activities under their direction.

Key areas of focus include supporting a strong risk aware culture, delivering timely and high-quality Asia risk reports, facilitating Asia risk governance and oversight activities, and contributing to other Asia ERM initiatives to ensure sound risk management throughout Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Asia Risk Reporting

  • Manage and coordinate the full quarterly risk reporting cycle, consolidate inputs from local and regional stakeholders, and ensure timely preparation of the quarterly Asia Risk Outlook Report.

  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and platforms to enhance reporting efficiency, consistency and quality.

  • Coordinate effectively with Business Unit Risk teams and other risk oversight functions (e.g. Financial Risk, Insurance Risk, Operational Risk, Information Risk) to develop a holistic view of Asia-wide risks.

Risk Governance and Oversight

  • Maintain and support the development of key Asia ERM governance artefacts, including risk policies, frameworks, and related documentation.

  • Manage Asia ERM records and documentation, including SharePoint/shared drive administration, access management, and compliance with company requirements.

Risk Culture and ERM Initiatives

  • Support Asia risk culture assessments, awareness and training programs.

  • Provide structured sharing of external insights on evolving risk developments relevant to Asia.

  • Support other Asia ERM initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree holder with 7+ years' experience in risk management, preferably gained in life insurance companies or banks.

  • Solid understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and risk governance.

  • Proactive, self‑driven, and detail‑oriented, take ownership of assigned deliverables and manage timelines effectively.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with various stakeholders across Global, Segment and local markets.

  • Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt flexibly to changing timelines and stakeholder needs.

  • Developed financial acumen and sound business orientation.

  • Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce well‑structured and visually effective presentations to senior management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power BI and Power Platform (particularly PowerApps, Power Automate) for creating interactive dashboards, automating workflows, and developing custom applications is preferred

  • Dashboard design with a focus on UI/UX

  • Big data analysis, including the use of Azure and Databricks to process and interpret large datasets.

  • Statistical software (e.g., Python, R) and risk management tools, along with experience in automating data processes and implementing digital solutions.

  • Database schemas, data modeling, and ETL processes.
