SEPPIC China (SSCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of SEPPIC S.A. with more than 30 employees based in Shanghai. SEPPIC Group was acquired by Air Liquide in 1986. The company entered the China market in 1996, its business covers cosmetic ingredients and industry specialties. In 2006, SEPPIC established its manufacture plant in Qingpu, its business scope includes the development and production of adjuvants for new variety of medicines and vaccines for human and animal health and their ancillary chemical and biological intermediates; in 2015 Seppic extended its business scope to the wholesale of pharmaceutical adjuvant, nutrition additive etc.

Within the framework of the R&D strategy and roadmap, manage or support research projects in labs, whatever the research subject, in order to develop technologies and innovations for our internal and external clients. Lab could be considered as internal Lab or external partnerships (eg. universities, start-ups)

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Manage the CTSC laboratory technician(s), chemist(s) and researcher(s) (define the objectives and supervise the work done)

  • Propose and follow annual budget to ensure optimum functioning of the CTSC: equipment, laboratory supplies, travels…

  • Manage the trouble shooting for the Asian customers through technical advices, customer lab studies and /or customer visits

  • Develop cosmetic formula prototypes either for 

    • (1) illustrating SEPPIC ingredients benefits and matching Asian or International cosmetic trends or 

    • (2) replying to specific needs from Asian customers

  • Manage the training of SEPPIC Asia cosmetic sales representatives/managers, distributors or customers

  • Customize the training documents (presentations or others) when necessary

  • Give scientific lectures in various cosmetic events: exhibitions, congress, universities, customers /distributors seminars. either focusing on SEPPIC ingredients or on Cosmetic formulation concerns

  • Be updated on new laboratory equipment or new technology through trade shows, training…

  • Develop demonstration formulations to fit market trends

  • Participate to SSCS safety meetings and make sure that the security measures are followed by chemists and visitors in order to achieve the goal of a “Zero Accidents” working.

  • Propose and anticipate the development plan for CTSCA evolution by:

    • checking the specific needs in APAC

    • checking the competitors and distributors positioning in Technical support and formulation developments

    • discuss with other CTSC internally

    • checking the possible new technologies to add in the future and manpower

    • etc...

Are you a MATCH?

Bachelor or Master degree in Fine Chemical, Biochemistry or related sciences

  • Minimum 10 years experience in cosmetic skincare formulation

  • Experience in an international environment: international company
