The ASAP2TEACH Grant Program Manager, under general supervision, provides support for grant implementation for post-award leading to grant establishment. Acts as liaison with compliance committees, selected school districts, and colleges, developing, planning, and assisting with the conduct of all grant activities. Plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for administering the grant program.
This is a grant funded position. Grant funded positions are time-limited and are contingent upon sufficient grant funding.
Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing grant administration procedures. Assist with the planning of the grant budget.
Lead ASAP2TEACH grant activities related to the recruitment, support, preparation, and retention of pre-service teachers, P-12 students, in-service teachers, and paraprofessionals by providing informational sessions and support of wraparound services. Travel to different locations is involved.
Maintains and develops communications between partners by attending meetings and conference calls.
Coordinates student scholarships and testing fees.
Coordinates with grant partnerships such as school districts and community colleges.
Establishes student organizations at community colleges and school districts.
Assists with the development and production of materials designed for the program.
Develops and conducts conferences, seminars, and workshops for ASAP2TEACH Grant.
Maintains databases and electronic files.
Support research activities, such as white papers, briefs, and presentations related to grant activities.
Assists the PI and Co-PIs in all project matters and support with bolstering prevailing courses, developing new courses, and lecturing and guiding the clinical experiences, with a particular emphasis on high and middle school students.
Availability to support grant activities during the day, evenings, and some possible weekend
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or higher in related field.
Five (5) years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or Doctorate in education or related field.
Demonstrate proficiency in Bilingual in Spanish and English
Three (3) years of experience (i.e., Bilingual/ ESL teaching in PK-12) working in educational settings with linguistically and multicultural populations (i.e., Pre-service teachers, professionals, P-12 students, and families).
Experience in training or providing professional development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Demonstrate proficiency in Bilingual in Spanish and English
Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
Experience or interest in student recruitment and cohort building.
