Art Directors are energized creatives who are talented at managing stakeholders and design teams. AD’s will lead design teams in concept development and execution of custom material, innovative strategies, and corresponding creative guidelines that adhere to brand equities for new and existing deliverables across our different business lines. Successful candidates must have direct experience in design, creative conception and execution, people management, leadership and relationship management. The Art Director is a key liaison between our internal clients, creative, and marketing teams. This player/coach role is responsible for delivering creative solutions for our clients and improving JLL’s competitive advantage. 

 

The Art Director will manage a small team of 3-7 designers and must be able to present design rationale and advocate for the team's work while remaining open to inputs and alternative perspectives with outstanding creative judgement. This leadership role requires strong communication skills and creative direction, as well as advanced time and project management skills. The Art Director is the primary point of contact for stakeholders and places these relationships at the center of their creative solutions. The role will partner virtually with teams located around the country; comfort with virtual working arrangements is required.

 

Art Directors will have a strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts along with a steady focus on getting the work done, on time, and looking great. The AD must have a strong team mentality—it’s we, not me—and be able to advocate the larger team purpose. Real estate experience is not essential, however experience working within a corporate environment will be very beneficial. This role reports to the Creative Director and is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in office.

Design

  • Executes sophisticated design on high profile and complex creative challenges

  • Always participates in the creative process—with both clients and the team—from concept to completion. This includes kick-off calls, alignment meetings and art direction of any outside agencies or extended teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Art or Design/Visual Communications or similar

  • A minimum of 8-10 years’ prior design experience, preferably in a corporate environment

  • Management experience of a small team of individuals, proven leadership in design and/or project management success

  • Exceptional communication skills to support professional exchanges in brainstorming sessions involving cross-functional and multi-level management teams

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, etc., and the Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory

  • Strong design and page layout skills are required, along with the ability to create graphic elements from scratch utilizing the best application that will support effective updates

  • Works effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and consistently demonstrates a high level of organizational skill and customer service

Estimated compensation for this position:

100,000.00 – 130,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
