Art Center Student Intern (Spring, 2026 - Unpaid)

The Downtown and Tourism Department for the City of Georgetown is offering 1 (one) unpaid internship position to help support the Art Center.

This internship will provide opportunities to build/expand the candidate's portfolio through participation in projects and initiatives that will produce writing materials, testimonials, and project samples.

The student intern will be working primarily in an office environment under the supervision of the Arts and Culture Program Manager. The internship’s anticipated start date is January 12, 2026, and the anticipated end date is May 15, 2026, but remains flexible. The internship is 14 hours (3 days) per week.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, training, and Experience:

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Graduate Program with at least 30 semester hours.

SCHEDULE

  • The internship will consist of 14 hours ( 3 days) per week.

  • The start date of the internship is anticipated to be January 12, 2026, but remains flexible.

  • Deadlines and schedules will be developed with the student and supervisor.

  • Dependable transportation is needed.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Valid Class "C" Texas driver’s license required. Out-of-state license holders must have a valid license and provide a three (3) year driving history.

Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing, balancing, vision, hearing, talking.

EMPLOYMENT TESTING
Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment drug testing, criminal background investigation and driving record check.
