Become a leader in the launches and commercialization of groundbreaking, interventional cardiology devices in the Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies organization. As a key member of the sales leadership team, the Area Vice President will report to the SVP of TMTT Sales and will be directly responsible for achievement of sales and profit objectives within their assigned Area. This agile, experienced sales leader will develop and scale a commercial organization launching new therapies while also increasing therapy adoption.

Responsibilities for this role will include building a team, overall strategy, coordination and functional management of regional sales managers and sales teams within their area.
How you will make an impact:
- Leads and inspires a field sales organization operating in a highly regulated, complex, and technically demanding environment.
- Leads, develops and inspires a team of Regional Directors who oversee commercial and clinical field teams across the Area including business reviews, forecast cadence, talent reviews and customer engagement strategies.
- Coaches leaders to demonstrate enterprise thinking, executive presence, and values-based leadership.
- Inspires a culture of teamwork where employees feel included, trusted, collaborative, and valued for their contributions. Creates an environment focused on accountability, performance excellence, and exceptional team and customer engagement.
- Leads end-to-end Area strategies for new therapy and product launches, ensuring site readiness, physician training pathways, early adoption strategies, and post-launch engagement.
- Develops and executes market development plans for underpenetrated or early-adopter geographies, balancing growth with procedural quality, safety and patient-first decision making.
- Executes national strategies for product sales, pricing, market share growth, and profitability.
- Drives Area-wide accountability for procedural excellence, customer experience, and therapy adoption.
- Manages strategic relationships with physician Key Opinion Leaders, heart team members, and cardiovascular service line executives.
- Partners with internal teams to negotiate contracts with supply chain, value analysis committees, and other health system stakeholders.
- Establishes sales targets and manages the Area’s budget and commercial program execution.
- Drives disciplined forecasting processes and accountability for quota achievement.
- Reviews sales performance against objectives and adjusts tactics and resource allocation as needed to achieve goals using data-driven insights.
- Builds strong cross-functional partnerships with Marketing, R&D, Medical Affairs, internal training teams and Sales Operations to ensure alignment and execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Serves as the voice of the Area to inform national commercial strategy, launch optimization, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintains current knowledge of competitive business strategies and pipelines, healthcare economics, reimbursement dynamics, and hospital system trends to inform Area sales plans and local execution strategies.
What you will need (Required):
- Bachelor's Degree in in related field with previous experience working in sales and healthcare industry or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria Required

- Master's Degree or equivalent previous experience working in sales and healthcare industry or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams, including experience leading managers of field teams supporting medical device procedures in the cath-lab, electrophysiology lab, or operating room environment.
- Proven track record negotiating with hospital value analysis committees and senior health system stakeholders.
- Experience launching multiple implantable medical devices across broad geographies in the United States.
- Preferred experience scaling procedure-based structural heart or cardiovascular therapies with a focus on program development, physician training, and outcomes-driven adoption.
- Ability to travel greater than 75 percent.

For Illinois (IL), the base pay range for this position is $184,000 to $230,000(highly experienced).
