Area Sales Manager

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our EST team within the Petro Chemical and power industry.

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer accounts and developing new customer relationships. The Sales Manager will generate, develop and close sales opportunities in a particular territory or domain. This role focuses on generating new business through direct product and/or service sales to new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), VARs (Value-Added Reseller) partners and direct customers, while also maintaining and strengthening existing customer relationships.

Location: Remote: Texas or Louisiana

Sales focused within the golden triangle

Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:

  • Identifies, develops and secures new business opportunities with OEMs, VARs, and direct customers in their assigned territory or domain. Builds and executes territory or domain short and long-term action plans to achieve or exceed sales targets. (20%)
  • Serves as a relationship manager for assigned accounts, ensuring consistent communication, delivery satisfaction, and issue resolution. Monitors contract performance, renewals, and pricing adjustments to maintain account profitability. Identifies opportunities for account expansion through cross-sell and up-sell strategies. Conducts regular business reviews with clients to assess satisfaction and algin on future needs. (20%)
  • Accurately tracks and manages pipeline activities in CRM tools. Represents the company in customer meetings, product demonstrations and trade events to build brand recognition and capture leads. Prepares and delivers sales presentations tailored to customer requirements and aligned with company value propositions. (20%)
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and promote sales. Stays informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. (20%)
  • Works closely with sales management, engineering and product teams to understand customer requirements and align solutions. Contributes to cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving customer experience. (20%)

What You Bring:

  • Progressive sales or account management experience, preferably in the Petro-chemical/Oil and Gas sector.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B technical sales environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of sales cycles, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Willingness to travel to support sales activities and client engagements.
