What We Need:

The Area President for Texas is a senior executive and proven people leader responsible for driving revenue growth, accelerating new business development, and strengthening market performance across multiple iHeartMedia markets. This leader sets the strategic vision, builds and develops high performing teams, and ensures the pace, discipline, and accountability required to win in a competitive media landscape. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience leading large, diverse teams; a strong business‑focused mindset; and a passion for coaching talent, cultivating new business, and elevating iHeartMedia’s leadership across broadcast, digital, podcasting, and live events.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead overall revenue strategy and performance across assigned markets, with a strong focus on new business development and sustainable growth across broadcast, digital, podcasting, and live event platforms.

  • Build, coach, and inspire high performing teams, ensuring a strong leadership bench and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top sales and programming talent, ensuring teams have the skills, pace, and mindset required to drive results.

  • Develop and execute market level business plans aligned with regional and corporate priorities, with clear KPIs and performance expectations.

  • Partner closely with Sales, Programming, and Marketing leadership to strengthen brand positioning, audience engagement, and client outcomes.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key advertisers, agencies, and community stakeholders to expand market opportunities.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and performance data to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and accelerate growth.

  • Oversee financial management, including forecasting, budgeting, and expense control, ensuring disciplined business operations.

  • Ensure operational excellence and compliance with company policies, FCC regulations, and industry standards.

  • Represent iHeartMedia in the community as a visible ambassador for the company’s brands, values, and initiatives.

  • Drive cross market collaboration to maximize resources, share best practices, and elevate performance across the region.

                                                                             

What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including managing and developing large, multi‑market or multi‑unit teams.

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, cultivating new business, and leading teams to exceed performance goals.

  • Strong understanding of audio, digital, and integrated marketing solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and develop high performing talent.

  • Exceptional strategic planning, financial management, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, agencies, and community partners.

  • Skilled at leading through change, fostering a high performance culture, and setting a strong pace for execution.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive level‑ presentation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, matrixed environment with competing priorities.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
