About the role:

We are seeking an Area Head of Customs Product & Operations, USA to lead, stabilize, and grow a robust U.S. customs brokerage organization of 200+ professionals. This role reports directly to the Regional President and is accountable for driving commercial growth while strengthening operational execution, productivity, and service reliability.

The successful candidate will provide strong regional leadership across CHB operations, integrate global platforms locally, and ensure disciplined execution amid ongoing U.S. customs regulatory volatility.

The role requires a leader who can balance customer-facing commercial partnership with hands-on operational excellence, while intentionally shaping a high-performance culture and leading with care.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and stabilize CHB operations across the US Area.

  • Drive commercial growth in partnership with regional sales leadership.

  • Strengthen customer relationships to improve retention and satisfaction.

  • Ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality service delivery.

  • Improve productivity, cost-to-serve, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead with care while intentionally building a high-performance culture.

  • Drive performance management across teams (objective setting, reviews, compensation).

  • Proactively manage capacity planning and workload distribution.

  • Oversee service metrics and ensure accountability to KPIs.

  • Champion operational excellence initiatives and productivity improvements.

  • Act as the senior regional point of contact for customs delivery matters.

  • Global Customs Delivery Team

  • CHB Operational Teams (US Area)

  • Finance & Transformation Teams

What you bring:

  • Licensed Customs Broker (required).

  • 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Customs Brokerage and Trade Compliance.

  • Proven experience leading regional operational teams (200+ FTE preferred).

  • Demonstrated ability to drive commercial growth while maintaining operational control.

  • Experience shaping high-performance teams with strong employee engagement.

  • Strong executive presence and ability to interface with senior regional leadership.

  • Experience operating within U.S. customs regulatory complexity and volatility.

  • Ability to integrate and leverage globally aligned systems and platforms at a regional level.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 USD*

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors, such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
