The Area Head – ATR (NAM) is a critical leadership role within the regional ATR structure, responsible for end-to-end financial governance and accounting delivery across multiple business segments, including Ocean, LnS, and APMT IS. The role provides strategic oversight to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, maintaining a true and fair view of financials across the area.
As the primary interface within GSC, the Area Head partners closely with Area Finance leadership, representing ATR and driving alignment on performance, controls, and transformation priorities. This role goes beyond day-to-day operations, focusing on strengthening governance, enabling business insights, and driving continuous improvement across processes, systems, and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own overall financial governance and delivery across multiple business areas, ensuring timely and accurate closure of books and high-quality financial reporting.
- Drive financial data integrity and compliance standards across agency and principal books, setting clear expectations and ensuring consistency in execution through Area Managers.
- Provide strategic oversight on accounting operations, moving beyond day-to-day management to ensure standardization, scalability, and continuous process improvement across teams.
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders (Area CFOs / Finance Leaders) to drive performance measurement, provide insights, and enable data-driven decision-making at a business level.
- Lead and govern audit readiness and compliance, ensuring robust controls, adherence to accounting best practices, and proactive risk mitigation across all managed areas.
- Enable high-quality analytical support for senior finance leadership by driving deeper insights, identifying trends, and influencing business outcomes.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with interdependent teams (COEs, HQ, GSC functions) to drive improvements in ATR processes and overall operational efficiency.
- Drive a strong value mindset within the team, focusing on business impact, cost optimization, and continuous value realization across finance operations.
- Identify systemic gaps and transformation opportunities, and lead initiatives to address performance, process, and capability enhancements across areas.
- Own and drive the automation and transformation roadmap, ensuring adoption of digital solutions, building team capability, and enabling seamless execution at scale.
- Represent the function at a broader organizational level, acting as a key interface between GSC, business units, and global stakeholders.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of Area Managers, driving capability development, coaching, and succession planning to strengthen overall organizational depth.

- Degree in Accounting/Audit/Finance or equivalent with understanding of GAAP and IFRS guidelines. Professional qualification is a must
- 18 to 20+ years of prior experience in accounting & reporting
- Microsoft office proficiency (advanced excel is a must)
- SAP experience
- Experience in delivering results through others (both direct & indirect report)
- Experience in management reporting, financial controlling and analytical work.
