For our Competence Center Readymix (CCR) we are looking for an Area Director CCR AMWA (f/m/d).

The Area Director CCR for the AMWA region is a key leadership role within the Competence Center Readymix, responsible for driving operational performance, business excellence, and strategic initiatives across multiple RMC countries or regions. In this position you will ensure alignment of local operations with global priorities, foster collaboration between countries, and act as the strategic partner for country management teams in all aspects of Readymix performance and development.

This position reports directly to the Director Global CCR.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

  • Act as the primary CCR contact for country management teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration on strategic and operational topics.

  • Drive the implementation of CCR’s Operational Excellence, Performance Improvement and Strategic/Transformational programs across the entire region.

  • Align country-specific performance improvement plans with Global CCR objectives and support the delivery of critical KPIs (operational, financial, sustainability, digital and safety).

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice exchange between countries to accelerate performance gains and foster a culture of operational excellence.

  • Prioritize and allocate CCR resources across countries and projects to maximize value creation.

  • Review, challenge, and support country teams in the development and implementation of CapEx projects, ensuring alignment with operational strategies, investment priorities, and CCR’s performance improvement objectives.

  • Lead regional prioritization of CCR resources, ensuring focused support for countries based on their strategic importance and performance potential.

  • Monitor and report on country and regional progress in operational excellence, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.

  • Conduct benchmarking across Area RMC operations.

  • Support local management in the development of capability-building programs, enhancing technical, operational, and managerial competencies.

  • Ensure strong collaboration with Global & Area CCR teams, various Group & Area Functions, and external partners to align country needs with global strategies and initiatives. 

  • Represent CCR in Board Meetings, Quarterly Management Meetings,  Strategic Regional Forums and governance structures, providing insight and guidance on RMC operations.

  • Recruits appropriately qualified and experienced team members and sets up clear accountabilities and work plans

  • Conducts benchmarking across Area ready-mix operations

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

  • >10 years of progressive experience in the building materials industry, preferably in Readymix Concrete operations.

  • Proven track record in managing multi-country or regional operations in a vertically integrated business environment.

  • Strong understanding of RMC production processes, plant operations, control systems, and supply chain management.

  • Ability to integrate operational, technical, commercial, and financial perspectives into actionable strategies.

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all organizational levels, including senior executives.

  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of data-driven decision-making and fostering a performance-oriented culture.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, able to prioritize and manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; comfortable navigating diverse cultural environments.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages relevant to the area of responsibility are an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) across assigned countries/regions.
