Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Architecture Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to inspect various facets of work on the jobsite and performs continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Demolition of transportation facilities (roads, streets, bridges etc.)

  • Construction of roads, bridges, and other associated improvements (curb and gutter, street, sidewalk, landscaping)

  • Drainage work, traffic control, compliance with SWPPP requirements

  • Installation of electrical equipment related to traffic signals, ramp metering  and street lighting

  • Irrigation and planting, roadway and overhead sign removal and installation.

  • Installation on temporary and permanent signs and delineation

  • Installation of mechanical equipment

  • Building and facility construction and associated site development

  • Taking project photographs on a daily basis and filing them

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of related experience on field projects, as well as formal certification from an independent organization, depending on type of inspection assignment.

  • Knowledge of public works contracts may be preferred. Construction safety training including OSHA 10 hour training.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction-related processes related to the area of assignment.

  • Knowledge of English grammar and composition, the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; to follow oral and written instructions, prepare written messages and simple charts and graphs.

  • Capability to perform math calculation in order to prepare engineering calculations, graphs and charts.

  • Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, Project Management Software and internet search engines (like Google or equivalent).
