Architecture Advisor

As a Data Architect (Architecture Advisor), you will play a key role in shaping how data drives business strategy and innovation. You will partner with senior leaders across business and technology to design scalable, secure, and modern data platforms. Your work will help deliver trusted, high-quality data that powers analytics, insights, and decision-making across the enterprise.

This is a highly visible role where you will influence long-term data strategy, guide modernization efforts, and set the foundation for future growth.

Responsibilities

Shape Enterprise Data Strategy

  • Define enterprise and domain-level data architecture aligned to business priorities
  • Create target-state data platforms and multi-year roadmaps
  • Establish scalable approaches for batch, streaming, and real-time data use cases

Design Modern Data Platforms

  • Lead end-to-end architecture across ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and serving layers
  • Design cloud-native data platforms and scalable data pipelines
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, availability, resiliency, and compliance expectations

Drive Data Governance and Quality

  • Set standards for data modeling, metadata, lineage, and lifecycle management
  • Define patterns for data observability and quality monitoring
  • Identify risks, data gaps, and technical debt, and recommend solutions

Advise and Influence Stakeholders

  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, and engineering teams to shape data-driven solutions
  • Support portfolio planning and align data initiatives to strategic roadmaps
  • Contribute to architecture reviews and help guide investment decisions

Lead Technology Innovation and Modernization

  • Evaluate emerging data technologies and recommend adoption based on business value
  • Drive cloud migration, legacy platform retirement, and analytics enablement
  • Mentor architects and engineers on best practices and reference architectures

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or large-scale data platform design
  • Strong experience designing data solutions across batch, streaming, and hybrid architectures
  • Proven ability to influence senior business and technology leaders
  • Hands-on experience with data ingestion, transformation, and analytics platforms
  • Experience designing scalable, high-performing, and secure data solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and distributed systems
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe for Architects)
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, and observability tools
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
