Apprentice - Functional Tester

Location - Gurugram (On Site)

Responsibilities

• Understand application requirements and functional specifications
• Execute manual test cases for C#.NET applications (web)
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
• Verify fixes and perform re-testing of resolved defects
• Assist in test case preparation and test data creation
• Collaborate with developers to clearly communicate defects and issues
• Ensure applications meet quality standards before release
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings as required
• Maintain test documentation and QA reports

Required Skills 

• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC
• Basic understanding of SQL (writing simple queries for data validation)
• Awareness of defect life cycle
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and documentation skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of ASP.NET / .NET Core, Cloud concepts
• Basic knowledge of test management or defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
