ENGINEERING APPRENTICE

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY COMPLETING…
A 4-year academic and on-the-job apprenticeship to achieve the Food and Drink (Multi-skilled) Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship Level 3.
Included in the 4 years is off-the-job engineering training at Midlands Group Training Service (MGTS) in Coventry. You will spend 20 weeks doing this classroom training in year 1, 14 weeks in the second year, and 6 weeks in the third year. The fourth year is spent consolidating learning and preparing for the End Point Assessment.
This apprenticeship also consists of:
OAL Level 3 Maintenance Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical)
BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Award in Food Safety level 3, and Principles of HACCP based Food Safety level 2
Access to the latest technology in a purpose-built training facility equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, dairy technology and software control systems
Potential to study to a higher level e.g. HNC or Degree on successful completion
YOU’RE BEST SUITED TO THIS OPPORTUNITY IF YOU HAVE…
At least three GCSEs including Mathematics at Grade B/level 6 and above, and English Language Grade C/level 5 and above
A-level Maths or A-level Science would be highly desirable
A keen interest in developing a career within Engineering and the food industry
The determination to commit to a four-year period of study and hard work

A starting salary of £24,600 per annum (or we will match the current base salary of a current employee)
No tuition fees or student loans to pay back after graduation
A laptop during the apprenticeship

Integrated technical study and work-based learning
On completion of your apprenticeship, you will qualify for membership to the Institute of Technical Engineers
Starts 1st August at our Nuneaton plant and Monday 7th September, 9am at the college in Coventry
