We anticipate the need for one or more Apprentice Electric Meter Specialist(s) at the Grand Forks Service Center in Grand Forks, ND. The starting rate of pay for Apprentice Specialist position is $36.22 (2025 rate).
This position will be posted for 10 working days March 13, 2026, to March 26, 2026.
Job Responsibilities (May include, but not limited to):
1. Perform all job duties of lower Meter Section classifications.
2. Provide technical direction, assistance, and training to other Meter Section employees and internal/external customers.
3. Test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all types of single phase and three phase equipment and components (shop).
4. Interpret, update, and develop drawings and documentation for meter equipment and installations of all types.
5. Work with other shop and field personnel in prioritizing and completion of work and maintenance of appropriate records and paperwork.
Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or GED
· Basic AC/DC knowledge and/or experience
· Requires participation in after-hours emergency call-outs
· Must reside or relocate to within 20 miles of the Grand Forks Service Center.
Special Requirements
Accept additional training required by the company to keep abreast of metering technology and automation techniques
