Your mission:

An apprenticeship opportunity titled : “Airworthiness and Certification” has just opened at Airbus India located in Bangalore. You will join the department of “Airworthiness and Certification” in charge of Regulations screening and operations.

This is a 12-month program and it should start in July 2026 (date subject to flexibility).

Your main missions will consist of :

● Task 1 - Summarize and communicate regulatory changes within the Airbus Expert community and help determine how they affect our current fleet and future designs. This is to be achieved through actively tracking and screening updates, directives, and rule-making activities from the EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency), FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), and other National Aviation Authorities.

● Task 2 - You will be the bridge between traditional aviation certification activities and the future AI/ML based intelligent certification systems. The ambition is to move the department from manual activities to an automated, intelligent ecosystem 

For example, build and maintain systems (for example : webscraper) to automatically pull the regulatory standards and Notices of Proposed Rulemaking from FAA/EASA/NAA portals in real-time. Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to ingest massive regulatory documents, providing the team with instant summaries, "gap analysis," and cross-referencing against internal manuals. Use Artificial Intelligence to categorize updates by relevance, ensuring engineers only see the regulations that impact their specific systems.

Your tutor will support you to identify your professional objectives and develop your skills. 

This apprenticeship will allow you to develop the following skills:

● In depth knowledge of the world of airworthiness and certification (Initial aircraft design, in-service certification as well as continued airworthiness maintenance of the fleet) with specialized understanding of regulatory requirements

● Top level insights, as well as depth in process of how Airbus embeds regulatory requirements defined by different countries into the aircraft design

● AI/ML/webscraping and Python coding

Eligibility Criteria:

• You are a Fresh Graduate (Technical Under Graduate or Post Graduate) in Aerospace / Mechanical engineering / Electrical/ Electronics with an aptitude for coding/Minor in Computer science/Information Technology (would be a plus point but not a pre-requisite) .

• Zero Work Experience: This program is exclusively for candidates with no prior full-time professional work experience. (Internships and academic projects are excluded from this and are welcome).

• Commitment: Ability to commit to the full 12-month duration of the apprenticeship.

You possess the following competences:

- Technical skills :

•  Basic knowledge of aerospace (Understanding of aviation regulations - Part 21, CS requirements - Good to have but not mandatory)

• Experience with Python (specifically libraries like BeautifulSoup or Scrapy) and familiarity with LLM APIs (like OpenAI or Vertex AI).

• Ability to summarize and breakdown large documents into a crisp summary without missing the essence of the message
