Applied AI Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated Applied AI Researcher to contribute to our data science and Ai investment solutions initiatives. This position is open to recent graduates with a strong quantitative foundation and a genuine interest in applied AI research. You will work closely with applied AI researchers, data engineers, equity analysts and portfolio managers to develop AI-driven solutions at the intersection of large language models, agentic workflows, and investment research. The successful candidate will bring intellectual rigor, attention to detail, and a curiosity to explore how emerging AI techniques can meaningfully enhance the research process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous data wrangling and preparation, forming the foundation of reliable AI outputs

  • Design and evaluate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and prompt/context engineering strategies to improve the relevance and accuracy of LLM outputs in an investment research context

  • Build and maintain knowledge graph pipelines that organize and connect structured investment data for use in downstream AI applications

  • Develop and iterate on agentic AI workflows that automate research tasks and surface investment insights for equity analysts and portfolio managers

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver well-tested, reproducible systems that can be adopted by research teams at scale

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field

  • Strong proficiency in Python with demonstrated experience in data manipulation, transformation, and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets

  • Solid foundational knowledge in data science or machine learning (e.g. Scikit-learn, Pandas, basic NLP)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, rigorous approach to problem solving

  • Interest in LLMs and agentic AI, with hands-on exposure through coursework, research, or personal projects preferred

  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control and code maintainability

  • Knowledge of knowledge graphs or experience with graph databases is a plus

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
