Are you an experienced technical specialist with a strong background in Applied Solutions? Do you have a passion for preparing optimized selections and accurate technical proposals by collaborating closely with the products team to support our “Consultant Sales” efforts? Johnson Controls is seeking an Application Technical Manager to join our team in MEA, supporting our YORK product line.

What You Will Do

Under minimal supervision, you will provide expert technical support for YORK products and system solutions to our Consultant Sales teams in MEA. Collaborating closely with internal Johnson Controls Product Management, CMPO, pricing engineers, and other organizations, your role is vital in ensuring consistency across all product offerings and specifications, while assisting with Consultant Sales department operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing pre-sales support on HVAC Applied equipment & system solutions, from interpreting specifications to delivering final optimized technical comparisons and techno-commercial offerings.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to develop engineered equipment submittals.

How You Will Do It

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for YORK products to Consultant Sales teams.
  • Develop and maintain technical bulletins and updates for the Solutions Database.
  • Offer input to enhance the quality of consultant sales studies.
  • Play a key role in the Consultant Sales Process, ensuring alignment between the Consultant Sales team and product management.
  • Drive Consultant Sales improvements through the Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Adhere to Johnson Controls’ Code of Conduct and safety standards.

What We Look For

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 75% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 7 years of experience in HVAC applied equipment like AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and hot water systems.
  • Strong analytical skills for solving complex product and system problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • A successful track record in a multifunctional team environment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
