Position Overview

ATLAS SP is seeking a highly technical Application Support Engineer to support and maintain mission critical applications across trading, financial operations, and data management platforms. This role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, deep system awareness, and the ability to lead incident triage and root cause analysis in a production environment.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, client focused, comfortable working on complex financial systems, and capable of mentoring junior and offshore support team members.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide technical production support for mission-critical financial systems
  • Monitor applications, analyze logs and troubleshoot system and data issues
  • Lead incident triage, coordinate resolution efforts, and drive root cause analysis
  • Manage and prioritize support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
  • Develop support runbooks and operational documentation
  • Train and mentor junior and offshore support team members
  • Partner with application owners and engineering teams to improve system reliability and supportability

 

Qualification and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience supporting production systems in financial services
  • Solid understanding of system architecture and application dependencies
  • Proficient in SQL and comfortable querying relational databases
  • Experience with batch processing and monitoring systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading production incident triage and root cause analyses
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
