Application Support Analyst

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

At RBC Technology & Operation group, we are seeking a dedicated Application Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, performance, and stability of our core applications, which are essential to our daily operations and client services.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Coordinates application maintenance and support objectives in partnership with production support team, development team and business representatives. 
• Responsible for day to day works regarding application maintenance and support activities such as vulnerabilities remediation and TLP compliance issue fix. Also service requests from business teams and project teams.
• Leads tasks such as application environment maintenance for projects, change management, testing, DR, etc.
• Assist to provide quality and timely support to our business partners through efficient ownership of Incident management and participation in problem management and application defect resolution.
• Assist to manage the identification of root cause and coordinate recovery and mitigation to improve resource usage and time to market.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to implement enhancements and optimize system functionality.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

• 1-2 years of experience in IT, Operations or Application maintenance / Support area
• Expertise in Windows Server, Operating System Admin, CMD commands
• Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and documentation skills
• Working experience with scripting SQL
• Experience with Change management, incident management standards and practices including critical communication to business and IT stakeholders

Nice-to-have: 

• Excel proficiency
• Trading life cycle knowledge
• Working experience with scripting ideally in .NET
• Working knowledge on alerts and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and PagerDuty
• Experience with cloud Technology (OpenShift, Azure) and Monitoring tools (Dynatrace), ITIL foundation training
