Application Manager, VP - State Street Investment Management

Position Summary

State Street Investment Management (IM), formerly known as State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), is seeking an application manager to govern Aladdin, a critical front office platform supporting the Active Fixed Income business. As SSIM continues to grow strategically and deliver new investment vehicles, there is continued product growth on this platform. 

We are seeking a Vice President, Application Manager to play a central role in maintaining and growing this platform. This individual will be responsible for the operational excellence of this platform for 200+ users, driving issue resolution, user adoption, and strategic growth to support new products and enhanced workflows. The position will engage with business and technology partners across State Street to ensure outcomes are delivered in line with IM’s strategic objectives. The VP will act as a key coordinator across internal teams and State Street affiliates to ensure business and process excellence of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Drive process excellence ensuring a smooth, timely, and accurate start of day.

Work with internal support teams as well as Blackrock Solutions to provide support to Portfolio Managers, Traders, Operations, Risk, and Investment Oversight teams to prioritize, track and resolve issues with appropriate urgency.

Support the Platform and Program Delivery teams with the on-boarding of new products and the delivery of new integrations to support additional workflows.

Ensure risk excellence, including compliance with State Street regulatory requirements, third party monitoring, risk assessments, and DR/failover testing.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in financial services technology
  • Experience supporting  Blackrock’s Aladdin platform.
  • Deep understanding of investment management front-to-back investment lifecycle including portfolio management, trading, investment operations, and IBOR.
  • Strong knowledge of risk and control frameworks, service-level oversight, and operational resiliency practices
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $177,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
