We are seeking an Application Engineer Intern who is excited to learn how business applications and websites are built and improved. In this role, you will help create and maintain internal and customer-facing web features using Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, PowerShell, and SQL Server. You will also have the opportunity to learn how web applications integrate with other systems through APIs and automation tools.
This position offers hands-on experience in modern .NET development, DevOps practices, and real-world software delivery in a collaborative IT environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with developing and updating web pages, forms, and applications using C#, JavaScript, and .NET 10
  • Help connect applications to databases and APIs to retrieve or send data
  • Support troubleshooting and debugging web functionality and UI issues
  • Contribute to code reviews, quality checks, and testing efforts
  • Learn best practices for secure and scalable web development
  • Help document technical changes and update user guides
  • Assist with website deployments using source control tools like Git/GitHub and automation with GitHub Actions
  • Work with designers, business analysts, and senior developers to support project goalsCOMPETENCIES:

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IS/IT, or related field
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts or exposure to languages like C# or Python
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Some familiarity with databases and SQL (coursework or personal projects acceptable)
  • Familiarity with .NET 10 (or willingness to learn)
  • Interest in learning how REST APIs, event-based messaging, and cloud services work

BONUS SKILLS (Not Required):

  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages, or Blazor
  • SQL skills (queries, stored procedures)
  • Use of REST APIs or authentication methods
  • Familiarity with Azure App Services, GitHub, or CI/CD concepts
  • Interest in UI/UX design or front-end frameworks

Internship Program Overview:
This is a paid, in-person internship based in our Raleigh or Durham offices, running from May 18 through August 7, 2026. Interns are paid $18.25 per hour and will gain hands-on experience by being fully integrated into their respective teams. Throughout the internship, participants will complete a capstone project, collaborate cross-functionally, connect with company leaders and executives, and participate in intern lunch-and-learns and other professional development opportunities.
