The Opportunity:
The Application Engineer will be responsible for designing software tools and subsystems to facilitate software reuse and domain analysis, as well as overseeing their implementation. They will manage software development and support processes using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, recognized design methodologies, and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Additionally, they will estimate software development costs and schedules, review existing programs to identify areas for refinement, reduce operating time, and enhance current techniques. The role also involves formulating and defining specifications for new software applications, as well as modifying and maintaining existing applications using engineering releases and utilities provided by the manufacturer.

Application Engineer will be an integral part of the team.
Responsible for developing new applications and toolsets to help the customer to automate some of their internal tracking tools and information gathering processes and modernize the current environment to enable quicker delivery of mission information, enhance operations, and improve situational awareness.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
AWS
Ansible
Kubernetes Cluster Management
Micro-service-oriented architecture
Strong experience with Kubernetes (specifically cluster development, management, and monitoring)
Authoring experience with Helm (creating & deploying)
Docker & associated technologies (e.g., docker compose).
Education and Experience:
12 years minimum experience and a High school Diploma/GED
10 years minimum experience and an Associate’s degree
8 years minimum experience and a Bachelor’s degree
6 years minimum experience and a Master’s degree
4 years minimum experience and a Doctorate’s degree
All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed and all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited institutions.
Desired:
Understanding of Cloud technologies
SQL
Golang
Knowledge of database relationships across various customer data sources
Kabana
Containerization best practices
Knowledge of modern Angular development
Experience with SSPs and security planning
Self-starter with strong attention to detail

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$103,800 - $218,100
