Major Accountabilities:
Lead and support wiring harness development and release activities
Prepare and manage Bill of material, technical drawings ,component selection & change management documentation
Identify , assess and mitigate the design risk during early phases of development
Coordinate with plant teams to communicate change implementation and facilitate drawing release
Apply principle of Design for manufacturability(DFM), Design failure mode and effects analysis(DFMEA) & Value Analysis /Value engineering(VAVE) for robust and cost effective design
Collaborate with cross functional teams including Material planning, Program Management, Sales, Plant operations, Finance, DREs to ensure alignment with project timelines
Coordinate effectively with manufacturing teams to address build issues and support resolution of vehicle level concerns
Prepare ADVP&R(Design validation plan & report), track progress with labs and ensure timely completion of all validation activities
Willingness to work in second shift and general shift as required
Support occasional travel and extended work hours based on project needs
