Application Development Senior Advisors- Hybrid

The job profile for this position is Application Development Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities-

  • Provide hands-on technical design and development of large-scale, scalable, reliable, secure global software applications and services.

  • Participate in all phases of development lifecycle.

  • Work with partner IT and business teams.

  • Own and drive major deliverables across all aspects of design and software delivery.

  • Provide guidance to the teams regarding frameworks, patterns, best practices, approved technologies, tools, and solutions.

  • Responsible for design and development of modern, scalable architecturally sound components and applications.

  • Build better development and architecture practices, patterns, and documentation with a focus on code quality including code reviews.

  • Collaborate with other software engineers, domain experts, and end-users to build solutions that address business needs.

  • Understand future business needs and provide technical strategies.

  • Collaborate with peers and participate in brainstorming sessions to deliver quality products.

  • Work with management and provide continuous feedback on overall technical improvements and innovations.

  • Work closely with PVS team to ensure application performance standards and optimize performance metrics.

  • Participate in evaluation and prioritization of business team requests. Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business alignment with the team, leadership chain, and customers.

  • Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications-

Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering plus four years of experience in web application development or a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering plus five years of experience in web application development.

Must have experience with: cloud computing (AWS) concepts; cloud solution architecture; Java; J2EE technologies including JSF; Spring MVC; Spring JPA; Spring Batch; Spring Rest services; PL/SQL; Scrum methodology; Spring Boot; Microservices architecture; Docker ; OpenShift ; CI/CD pipelines; Maven; Splunk; Dynatrace; JIRA; Confluence; Git; Jenkins; ServiceNow; SQLdeveloper; DBeaver; STS; Tomcat; Redis Caching; IBM MQ ; and Apache Kafka


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
