Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for two Application Development Analysts or Seniors to join our Information Technology team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.

What does an Application Development Analyst do for us?

Under general supervision, this individual provides analysis, design, development, and ongoing support for the implementation of custom applications and integrations. Primary responsibilities focus on application development using Microsoft's development stack including .NET, .NET Framework and .NET MAUI to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Development is focused on both internal and customer facing applications using ASP.NET, Entity Framework and Web APIs. Participates in problem analysis, solution development, action planning and implementation coordination with peer developers and technical system analysts.
 

A Senior Application Development Analyst will also:

Serve as technical expert and/or technical project lead/manager and may direct the work of other developers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Application Development Analyst:

Education/Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science and 1 year of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

OR

  • 5 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training


Senior Application Development Analyst:

Education/Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science and 3 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

OR

  • 7 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Project Management and/or programming language certification desirable


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
