Job Summary
• This role is responsible for leading a broad range of complex supply chain processes for a large global business unit. The role improves current business processes and performance metrics by leading cross-functional regional and global business unit planning teams, and identifies opportunities to streamline and optimize operational processes. The role manages special projects and communicates requirements to large global business unit planning teams.

The Takeback team offers a convenient and free solution for HP customers to return and recycle their used HP hardware, Inkjet, and LaserJet cartridges through the HP Planet Partners Program. We are seeking an operations Manager to manage takeback operations, lead projects to improve and manage operations in the Asia-Pacific region, and spearhead initiatives to enhance our Take Back services for both categories: HW and Supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Seamless operational management, in line with HP policies and best practices, to ensure KPI’s, financial results, and other key deliverables are provided with the required quality and on time.

  • Create/develop/implement/manage advanced Take Back solutions, including outsourcing operations, using market and industry expertise.

  • Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.

  • As Ops expert, provide direction and guidance to improve processes, and to define new initiatives to ensure compliance, increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Extensive experience in end-to-end supplier/vendor management (vendor relationship management, request for quotation/proposal, negotiation, vendor selection and onboarding).

  • Procurement interlock. Legal knowledge and experience to define supplier contracts (Master Service Agreements, SOW’s), set up Purchase Orders, work with Accounts Payable.

  • Financial management/oversight. High-level knowledge of finance processes to provide guidance to the team, do/lead budget planning, monthly cost reviews (Actuals vs. Budget) with understanding of deviations (i.e. insight behind the numbers).

  • Take leadership to identify opportunities for service enhancement and process improvement, lead/develop/execute recommendations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and cost optimization.

  • Monitor compliance/regulatory requirements of new countries or changes in current countries, working together with the Global product Compliance and Sustainability teams and suppliers.

  • Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to define business objectives, develop business strategies and participate in innovative projects targeting product reuse/recycling.

  • As a vendor manager, lead the recycling assessment to evaluate the inclusion of new HP products in the HP Planet Partners Program.



Education & Skills

  • Preferably with a background in Business Management/Operations Management/Engineering/Supply Chain, technical or business degree.

  • Strong business acumen and technical knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.

  • Extensive experience in end-to-end supplier activities such as vendor relationship management, request for quotation, negotiation, vendor selection and onboarding.

  • Ability to manage financial analysis and modelling.

  • Strong project management skills, including project structuring.

  • Able to learn quickly and adapt well to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with mastery in English.

  • Be highly organized and a good multi-tasker.

  • Reliability and a strong sense of ownership.
