API Sales Representative

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas (On-site)

Position Summary

The API Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and expanding existing accounts by promoting Priority1’s transportation solutions, with a focus on API integrations and digital shipping platforms. This role blends consultative sales with technical understanding, helping customers streamline logistics operations through system-to-system connectivity.

You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical solutions, positioning API capabilities as a value driver in freight management.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Execution

  • Assist current sales personnel in upselling the Priority1 tech stack

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities

  • Present logistics solutions with emphasis on API-enabled efficiencies

  • Sell new API subscriptions and help maintain existing connections

API & Technology Solution Selling

  • Educate customers on API functionality, integrations, and automation benefits

  • Identify opportunities where clients can integrate shipping systems (ERP, WMS, eCommerce platforms)

  • Translate technical features into clear business value (cost savings, speed, accuracy)

  • Support onboarding of API clients in partnership with internal technical teams

Account Management

  • Develop long-term relationships with clients and grow existing accounts

  • Monitor customer performance and identify upsell opportunities

  • Ensure successful adoption of Priority1’s technology tools

Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, operations, IT, and onboarding teams

  • Communicate customer requirements for API integrations clearly to internal stakeholders

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

  • 1–3 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience preferred

  • At least 1 years logistics experience preferred

  • Strong communication and persuasion skills

  • High level of motivation, competitiveness, and resilience

Technical Aptitude

  • Ability to understand and explain APIs, integrations, and web-based platforms

  • Comfort discussing technical solutions with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Expertise in Priority1’s API documentation (can be taught this level of expertise)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SaaS, logistics, or technology sales

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)

  • Exposure to supply chain, freight brokerage, or transportation services

  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, EDI, or system integrations

Compensation & Benefits

  • $45,000-$50,000 Base Salary, Plus Commissions
