We are seeking a highly skilled Ansible Development Engineer with extensive experience in developing and automating infrastructure tasks using Ansible. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing VMs, Azure VMs, PaaS solutions (Day 2 Operations) and will be good at integrating Ansible with various tools such as New Relic, Moogsoft, and ServiceNow (Snow) etc. This role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent scripting abilities and a dedication to following best practices in code development and repository management.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate and orchestrate infrastructure tasks across VMs, Azure VMs, and PaaS environments focusing on Day 2 Operations.
Implement best practices for Ansible code development, including version control, modularity, and documentation.
Integrate Ansible with monitoring and incident management tools such as New Relic, Moogsoft, and ServiceNow to enhance self-healing automation capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Ensure the secure and efficient execution of Ansible tasks in Linux environments, including building and managing execution environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ansible automation and integrations.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Participate actively in the Ansible Community of Practice by conducting technical sessions and working collaboratively with different groups.
Create and document successful user stories, maintain the relevant documentation.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment, actively participating in the Scrum model.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Ansible playbook development, including both the community and Red Hat versions.
Proven experience in developing Ansible playbooks for VM and Azure VM environments.
Strong understanding of PaaS offerings and how to manage them with Ansible.
Experience with integrating Ansible with tools like New Relic, Moogsoft, and ServiceNow.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of Linux environments and building execution environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Fair knowledge of Agile methodologies, with active participation in the Scrum model.
Solid understanding of the Azure cloud provider, including its services and infrastructure management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with reporting tools like PowerBI and integrating them with Ansible for enhanced data visualization and reporting capabilities.
