Job Description

The Annual Fund Coordinator supports the Director of Annual Fund in developing, implementing, and managing strategies that strengthen donor participation, increase annual giving, and enhance alumni donor engagement. This position plays a key role in coordinating fundraising campaigns, marketing and communications, and donor outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, creativity, and a background in marketing or social media to effectively promote the University’s philanthropic initiatives. This position is critical to building a culture of philanthropy and supporting the university’s mission through increased donor engagement.

The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.

 

Responsibilities:

Fundraising and Campaign Support

  • Assist in planning, executing, and evaluating annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, digital, and social media appeals.

  • Coordinate donor outreach activities such as phone-a-thons, crowdfunding, and Day of Giving campaigns.

  • Support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts through personalized communication, follow-up, and event participation.

  • Track and analyze donor data to identify giving trends and opportunities for engagement.

Marketing and Communications

  • Manage content for Annual Giving digital platforms, including the University Advancement website, newsletters, and social media channels.

  • Create compelling written and visual content to promote giving campaigns and donor impact stories.

  • Collaborate with the Office of Marketing and Communications to ensure consistent messaging and branding across materials.

Event Coordination

  • Assist with the planning and execution of Annual Fund/University Advancement-related events, including donor recognition events, giving programs, and alumni engagement activities.

  • Manage event logistics such as scheduling, vendor coordination, and volunteer participation.

  • Represent the Annual Fund at university events to support alumni and donor relations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • No prior experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Ability to work in an environment of constant demands and frequent interruptions.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Special Requirements:

  • Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus the minimum required years of experience. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have a total of four years of experience.
