Summary
We are seeking an Animation Producer to join our production team in an early stage, narrative-driven video game. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing animation pipelines, schedules, and deliverables for AAA or high-quality indie titles. You will work closely with the Animation team and cross-discipline production partners to ensure that animation milestones are delivered on time, at the highest quality, and within scope.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with the Animation team to build and maintain detailed production schedules and workflows for gameplay, cinematic, and performance capture animation.
- Track day-to-day progress of animation tasks, identifying risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies across departments.
- Facilitate regular syncs, reviews, and handoffs between animation, design, and engineering teams.
- Work with leads, production, and other stakeholders to ensure goals for the animation team align with evolving priorities and capacity
- Support the planning and execution of performance capture shoots, including asset tracking, vendor coordination, and data delivery.
- Maintain clear documentation of processes, priorities, and goals to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with production leadership to forecast resource needs and balance team workload.
- Drive clear communication across departments, ensuring that creative intent and technical requirements align throughout development.
Core Qualifications
- 3–6 years of production experience in animation for video games.
- Proven ability to manage animation pipelines, sprints and milestone schedules in a real-time production environment.
- Strong understanding of the animation process from concept through implementation.
- Experience with project management tools such as ShotGrid, Jira, Hansoft, or similar.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Experience working on AAA console titles or large-scale game projects.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine animation tools and workflows.
- Understanding of motion capture pipelines and performance data management.
- Background in or strong appreciation for character performance and storytelling.
- Experience coordinating with external animation vendors or outsourcing partners.

The base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
