Animal Nutritionist/Formulator

Provide professional nutrition expertise to sales managers and technical advisors, and safeguard high level nutritional standards of the product portfolio. Increase and promote the understanding of the effect of diet on health, wellbeing and productivity of animals.

Job Description:

· Translating research findings and practical experiences into the animal feed portfolio

· Providing support and expertise in the area of nutrition to the marketing, technical consulting and sales employees

· Monitoring feed formulations to meet quality performance and animal health standards

· Contributing to product development by introducing new food concept

· Responsible for quality control, analysis and interpretation of trial data and preparations of final reports

· Assists in managing and developing protocols, data and reports of all post-registration studies, as well as interactions with marketing to develop and leverage resulting data into sales

· Keeps track of new nutrition developments, innovations of innovative applicable R&D groups and companies outside Nutreco

· Coordination and review of nutritional aspects and feed manufacturing implications of new and existing products with both internal and external groups

· Supports the development of training, marketing, and sales materials for products.

· Knowledge transfer and technical support to the sales team

· Calculates and assesses the relative nutritional values of various feeds

· Utilise specialist computer software to devise diets and compose reports and prescriptions
