Animal Facility Cleaner – Make a Difference Every Day

Join our team and play a vital role in supporting animal welfare and life-changing research. As an Animal Facility Cleaner, your work directly contributes to maintaining a safe, ethical, and high-quality environment for animals and staff.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Pride in delivering consistently high cleaning standards

About the Role

  • Cleaning and sanitising animal cages and bottles and maintaining other areas within the facility.
  • Working with and maintaining equipment such as lab cage washers and autoclaves.
  • Waste disposal in line with safety protocols.
  • Supporting infection control and biosecurity measures.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation.

The classification for this position will be IN20 ($57,002 per annum)

    Your Contribution

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to follow strict procedures and guidelines
    • Commitment to animal welfare and workplace safety
    • Previous cleaning or animal facility experience (desirable but not essential)
    • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
