Animal Facility Cleaner – Make a Difference Every Day

Join our team and play a vital role in supporting animal welfare and life-changing research. As an Animal Facility Cleaner, your work directly contributes to maintaining a safe, ethical, and high-quality environment for animals and staff.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

About the Role

Cleaning and sanitising animal cages and bottles and maintaining other areas within the facility.
Working with and maintaining equipment such as lab cage washers and autoclaves.
Waste disposal in line with safety protocols.
Supporting infection control and biosecurity measures.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation.

The classification for this position will be IN20 ($57,002 per annum)

Your Contribution

Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow strict procedures and guidelines
Commitment to animal welfare and workplace safety
Previous cleaning or animal facility experience (desirable but not essential)
A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
