Job Summary: This position is located at the Pet Lodge, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The mission of Joint Region Marianas (JRM) Warfighter & Family Readiness (WFR) is to provide the highest quality programs and services to the military community through self-sustainment across all quality of life programs.

Applies knowledge of the normal appearance and activities of animals to recognize obvious changes such as refusal to feed. Knowledge of normal feed and liquid needs and provides standard amounts. Skill in handling animals with hands and other device to hold and transfer them. Frequent lifting and carrying of feed materials, animals, and other objects weighing up to 75 pounds. Work requires walking, standing, and bending for long periods of time. Some physical effort is required to lift or handle docile animals. Work is performed outside and inside. Outside work often exposes the caretaker to unpleasant odors and noises. Outside work exposes incumbent to hot sun and occasionally bad weather. Usually works on concrete floors and is exposed to animal bites and scratches and animal wastes. May also be exposed to contagious disease. Works an uncommon tour of duty to include weekends and nights. Subject to satisfactory completion of background checks.
