As an Anesthesia Tech at NYP, You Wil:

• Maintain adequate department supplies in specific areas and replaces as necessary.

• Clean delivers and sets up various pieces of equipment used by Anesthesiologist (i.e. anesthesia machines, cardiac arrest boxes).

• Prepare various high tech equipment for continued use by Anesthesiologist (i.e. cleans and sterilizes fiberoptic scopes, Transesphageal Echo, Laryngeal Mask Airways).

• Maintain special work areas as required.

• Prepare various reusable supplies for sterilization.

• Receive various purchasing orders from medical vendors, signs for deliveries and delivers supplies to appropriate areas.

• Maintain various supply carts used in the operating rooms by Anesthesiologists.

• Maintain a wide variety of medications and sterile trays in supply areas and carts.

• Track expiration dates.

• Interact with secretarial staff in distribution of various anesthesia forms.

• Is competent to care for patients based upon age groups treated.

• Perform other job related duties as assigned. 
   

This position will work Monday-Friday and the hours are 6:30am-2:30pm. Located at NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Preferred Criteria:

• One year related hospital experience 

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED
