Analytics Engineering Manager - Senior Vice President

New York, New York, United States Full Time

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Vice President, Analytics Engineering Manager to lead strategic data initiatives that drive measurable growth for iCapital’s business teams. This role is primarily focused on team leadership and project delivery, while maintaining enough technical depth to guide execution.

You will manage a team of analytics engineers, partner with senior stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, product, and operations, and ensure projects are scoped, prioritized, and delivered on time. Success in this role means translating business needs into actionable plans, coordinating resources, and driving alignment across technical and business teams.

While you’ll oversee technical work, your primary responsibility is orchestrating end-to-end delivery… from requirements gathering and planning to execution and presentation of results. Deliverables include data models, dashboards, analyses, and other solutions that improve decision-making and business performance.

You’ll sit within the Analytics group of the Data Office and collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Data Science teams. Our stack includes Airbyte, Snowflake, DBT, Prefect, Python and Tableau, but hands-on coding will be secondary to leadership and oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of analytics engineers; set priorities, unblock challenges, and ensure timely delivery
  • Own project lifecycle: define scope, gather requirements, develop execution plans, and oversee implementation
  • Partner with senior business leaders to identify opportunities and convert insights into measurable outcomes
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance, documentation, and operational efficiency
  • Communicate progress and results clearly to stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Provide strategic guidance on technical approaches without being the primary implementer

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • 9+ years in a data-related role, with significant project and team management experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with SQL and Python (ability to review and guide, not necessarily implement daily)
  • Understanding of data modeling, BI tools (e.g., Tableau), and governance principles
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into structured, actionable plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record managing technical teams and delivering complex projects
  • Experience in financial services or alternative investments
