Analytics Engineer/Data Analyst (f/m/d) - Data Pricing - Apprenticeship

Lille, Upline, Nord, France; Paris, Paris, France Full Time

Our Data Pricing TEAM is looking for a Analytics Engineer/Data Analyst (f/m/d) on an apprenticeship basis, located in Paris/Lille starting September 2026.

OUR TEAM

Within an agile team of 5 to 6 analytics professionals (Business Intelligence, Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers) based in Lille and Paris, we drive Decathlon's global pricing strategy. Our challenge? Steering performance during peak commercial seasons ("In-Season") and turning data into growth opportunities. You will have a direct impact on our global pricing relevance and the satisfaction of our sport users.

YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION

Under the guidance of your mentor, you will bridge the gap between raw data and business decisions:

  • End-to-End Data Delivery: Work across the entire data lifecycle, from data extraction to the creation of decision-support dashboards.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Explore and analyze data to answer complex business questions (price elasticity, margin analysis, promotional impact).
  • Data Engineering: Design and maintain robust data pipelines using dbt to feed our pricing use cases and automate reporting.
  • In-Season Monitoring & Strategic Insights: Help set up real-time performance indicators to adjust the commercial strategy.
  • Data Culture: Simplify and present your findings, while challenging business needs to provide true strategic value.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Education: Pursuing a Master's degree in Data, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive, team player, and a strong "growth mindset." You are eager to learn and innovate.
  • Hybrid Skills: You enjoy both technical modeling (SQL/code) and business storytelling.
  • Critical Thinking: You don't just deliver numbers; you analyze them with business acumen and are comfortable challenging the status quo.
  • Experience: A previous internship or project in the Data field is a plus

TECHNICAL STACK

  • Must-have: Strong command of SQL.
  • Nice-to-have: dbt, Python, Databricks, Git, Airflow, and Tableau.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Working equipment provided (Mac or Windows).
  • Local project team within a global network (international career opportunities).
  • Skills development and mentorship.
  • Competitive compensation package (shareholding, bonuses).
