Analytical Lab Technician

NXP is seeking an Analytical Lab Technician for the Physical Analysis Labs at the ATMC (Ed Bluestein) site.  The Physical Analysis Labs are responsible for maintaining quality control over a diverse array of manufacturing chemicals, monitoring contamination on both wafers and in the ambient environment, and assisting in investigations to identify root-causes of observed failures.

This group is self-motivated, individually responsible, dependable, and takes pride in the quality of our work.  The selected candidate will be afforded opportunities to exercise their initiative, freedom to manage their workload and responsibilities throughout the day, and have the opportunity for mentoring and personal growth in in the field of semiconductor manufacturing by experienced and capable engineers and chemists.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • College degree in a scientific discipline, general chemistry education and experience in basic laboratory techniques required
  • Work is in both wet lab and cleanroom lab environments
  • Working with a large variety of analytical instrumentation and techniques including VPD-ICP-MS, HPLC, HPIC, TOC, ICP-MS, GC-PDD/TCD/FID/MS, Raman, XRF, Titration Analysis, Cyclic Voltammetry
  • Experience with process control preferred (6-Sigma)
  • Be able to draw conclusions from analytical measurements
  • Routine but safe work with extremely hazardous chemicals is required
  • Attention to detail is imperative
  • Reliability and dependability is extremely critical to this position
  • Must be a fast-learner, with ability to work with little supervision
  • Always work with an eye towards safety
