Analytical Chemistry Engineer

Job Description:

  • Prepares chemical analysis methodologies in a semiconductor fab environment and incoming raw materials quality control.

  • Supports the development of advanced analytical chemistry technology to fulfil next-generation requirements.

  • Employs chemical analysis expertise in assisting factory engineers on event prevention, root cause clarification and trouble shooting.

  • Drives lab systems engineering including the development of solutions to improve lab quality, compliance, and throughput.

  • Drives monitoring, record keeping, and reporting for lab equipment including maintenance, service, calibration, and testing activities.

  • Assists and provides mentorship of lab technicians to drive lab execution including engineering analysis, instrumentation, data analysis, and result reporting.

  • Resolves reported bugs and root causes issues that could impact product quality and experience.

  • Ensures lab preparedness including bench setup, procurement of test equipment and other lab materials, and infrastructure requirements.

  • Collaborates with functional teams such as IT, security, and facilities to maintain a successful lab.

  • Develops and coordinates the design, development, and implementation of new ideas, processes, and systems for lab improvements needed to meet program deliverables.

Note: This role requires a regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities and over time may require shift work in line with operational demands.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Chemistry or related Engineering field.

  • Experience in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Material Analysis.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters/PhD in Chemistry or related Engineering field.

  • Experience in chemical analysis instrument operation and method development such as ICP-MS, GC-MS, IC/LC-MS, or related.
