Mandate:

Provides treasury products solutions, advice and expertise tailored to the specific needs of corporate, institutional, and government clients across North America to manage cash-flow and capital. The responsibilities associated with the role will include fostering client relationships and providing solutions with regards to streamlining their receivables and payables, optimizing investments and deposits, improving their reporting and treasury access to information as well as designing large-scale corporate card and spend solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Acts as a key relationship contact for product info, pricing, documentation, and implementation.
  • Supports pre‑sales (pitches, client research, proposals) and sales execution.
  • Retains and grows client relationships to meet sales, service, and profitability targets.
  • Provides insights and tailored recommendations based on client needs and financial analysis.
  • Manages pipeline, calling activity, and deal execution with partners with BMO Capital Markets.
  • Understands complexity of transactions and related risk (credit, market, operational, legal / compliance, etc.).
  • Identifies and escalates risk issues; ensures compliance with internal controls.
  • Collaborates in initiative development and implementation of business, technology, sales and service, channel and product optimization and enhanced customer experience.
  • Tracks implementations, ensures accurate billing, and maintains clean client data.
  • Participates in industry events and builds an external network to source opportunities.
  • Supports strategic initiatives, processes improvements, and contributes to a strong client experience.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to Analysts (where applicable).
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • *3 to 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related fields of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional designation (CPA, CFA or CTP) preferred.  
  • Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills.
  • Shows initiative, intellectual curiosity, accountability and multi-tasks effectively.
  • Displays strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

*Candidate's with lower relevant experience will still be considered for an Analyst position.

Base Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is CAD$80k – 100k. Base salary will be dependent on level and experience.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
