The Risk and Compliance Analyst supports the Belron Canada Risk and Compliance team in its daily activities, particularly regarding risk monitoring, internal control, and compliance with Group policies.

Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, they contribute to report preparation, data analysis, and documentation, while learning about the company's operations and developing their expertise in risk management and auditing.

This is a temporary, one-year position ending December 31, 2026.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of risk assessments (ERMs) and reports for management.
  • Assist in documenting and updating internal controls and procedures.
  • Participate in the review of financial transactions and activities to ensure their compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Support internal audits and quarterly control reviews.
  • Contribute to insurance claims and collaborate with brokers or Group headquarters as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Perform any other ad hoc tasks requested by management.

Desired Profile / Qualifications:

  • University degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS and applicable legislation is an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or internship experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support management.
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn departmental practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
