Role Summary:
The Analyst, People and Labor Operations plays a critical role in ensuring that HR operations remain compliant with employment laws, internal policies, and collective bargaining agreements across the U.S. This role supports the Employee and Labor Relations team, HRBPs, and Payroll by maintaining accurate documentation, tracking compliance activities, and managing union administration processes.
The Analyst is responsible for overseeing the accurate processing of union dues, 401(k) contributions, and other contractual obligations tied to union agreements, ensuring both regulatory compliance and timely execution. In addition, this role prepares documentation for audits, monitors training and policy acknowledgments, and provides direct support for employee relations processes, including investigations and disciplinary cases.
By providing structure, accuracy, and compliance oversight, this role protects the organization from risk, builds trust with employees and unions, and ensures consistent, fair practices are applied across all workforce segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update HR policies, templates, and compliance-related documents.
- Support union administration processes across the U.S., including dues collection, 401(k) contributions, and reporting obligations.
- Partner with Employee and Labor Relations team to align processes with employment law and collective agreements.
- Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external HR audits.
- Track and report on policy acknowledgments, training completion, and certification renewals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as I-9 verification, and labor reporting.
- Maintain employee records, IDs, and work authorization documentation in compliance with retention policies.
- Provide logistical support for investigations, including scheduling, note-taking, and file management.
- Collaborate with Payroll and Finance to ensure union dues and contributions are processed accurately and on time.
- Generate regular compliance reports for HR leadership and COEs.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements in compliance and union administration workflows.
- Monitor trends in labor relations and compliance to proactively address potential risks.
- Support Employee and Labor Relations team, HRBPs and managers by providing guidance on compliance requirements and union obligations.
- Ensure consistency in applying company policies and collective bargaining agreements across regions.
- Provide support to the Director of People Operations and Change Management and other verticals as required.
- Collaborate with senior HR leadership to drive broader strategic HR initiatives.
