Job Description

This position offers a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, working collaboratively within a team environment. This fast-paced role involves communication with internal and external business partners, prioritizing tasks, attention to detail, working under pressure to meet deadlines and escalating systems issues related to account setup, trading, accounting, side systems and interfaces. Tasks include trading account setup & maintenance, position reconciliation, custodian on-boarding, class action work, process improvements and project work.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the timely and accurate setup of trading accounts in all systems. Research and resolve position differences between trading and accounting systems daily to meet SLA deadlines. Monitor emails for any account changes, and ensure the changes are made accurately and timely. Run reports to pull transaction and positions needed for class action filing on a monthly basis. Responsible for loading and removing positions for any newly on-boarded/terminated account within the trading platform.

Systems used include Aladdin, PAM/PFI, Invest One, Golden Source Security Master, FRT, KTMC, Excel, Outlook, Bloomberg, SharePoint, custodian websites, and many proprietary databases. Ensure procedures and controls are followed to prevent errors and delays. Provide quality service and information to partners/clients. Provide information and answer questions for audits and risk assessments i.e. from external and internal audit and risk functions.

Participate in standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Attend huddles, team meetings, trainings and coaching.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic MS – Word / Excel, Outlook knowledge.
  • Knowledge in Accounting & Securities market/Investment products.
  • Knowledge of Investment tools (like Bloomberg), Portfolio Management tool (Aladdin) will be an added advantage.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a background or equivalent investment industry experience in financial/fund accounting, finance, or middle/back office processing.
  • Must have good communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal skills and be an effective team player.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of multiple security types, the securities market, trade settlements, positions reconciliation, or an understanding of account setups within a trading system would be a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Good analytical, quantitative & problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis and modeling.

Our employees work in the office at least three (3) days per week, with flexibility to work from home two (2) days per week.
