What You Will Do *

• Represent the interest Structures team in an Integrated Product Team (IPT)

• Familiarize yourself with the analytical process and the deliverables to meet the Design Verification Plan.

• Support the design of the component by performing Finite Element modeling with appropriate boundary conditions.

• Work under limited supervision and ensure task progress to completion supporting the IPT.

• Ability to provide independent technical judgment on assigned tasks.

• Contribute to the advancement of technical tools, methodology and documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have *

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 to 2 years experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Use available 3D finite element structural and thermal analytical tools to optimize the design of turbine component or system to meet structural requirements.

• Ability to use Digital computer software, particularly CATIA, Dyna and structural design systems tools (ANSYS).

• Relevant experiences in mechanical or aerospace engineering using commercial Finite element codes (Ansys, etc.)
