Mandate:

The mandate of Loan Syndications is to work with members of the Corporate Banking team to originate, structure, price, negotiate and syndicate credit facilities for Canadian corporate clients and prospects of Investment & Corporate Banking.  The Analyst will support the Loan Syndications team within Debt Capital Solutions.  Duties will include:

  • Preparation of client presentations and marketing materials including: loan market overviews, bank financing credentials, industry/transaction comparables, syndicate analyses, etc.
  • Management of Canadian private syndicated loan databases
  • Review and co-ordination of all league table data for Corporate Banking
  • Support the underwriting, syndication and closing of new credit facilities (for M&A and general corporate purposes) including: assistance with preparation of information memorandums and lenders presentations, coordinating the logistics for lenders’ meetings, managing data sites, and liaising with syndicate lenders, borrowers and legal counsel
  • Providing syndicated loan market intelligence data to Investment and Corporate Banking partners

  • Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis, and/or streamlined reporting.
  • Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting and an outstanding academic achievement.
  • Financial analysis training and experience.
  • 0 - 2 years of successive relevant experience within investment and/or corporate banking experience based on business requirements.
  • Highly skilled in interpreting complex financial models.
  • Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
  • Influence skills - In-depth.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
