The IT Systems Analyst translates business needs into functional and technical requirements to ensure effective, scalable, and compliant technology solutions. This role exists to evaluate, design, and support systems that align with business processes and enterprise architecture standards.Job Description:
Designs, develops and implements interactive web pages using various technologies and tools, with a special focus on WordPress.
Configures and administers the ServiceNow platform for efficient management of business services and process automation.
Develops and optimizes SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation in Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
Collaborates with other teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
Keeps up to date on trends and developments in the technology field, contributing innovative ideas to improve our products and services.
Supports the Business Analyst and the company while considering modifications to technology solutions and/or new technology solutions.
Leads the translation of company requirements into functional and non-functional requirements.
Contributes to the formulation and definition of the scope and objectives of a system based on user needs and understanding of business processes.
Determines if internal or external solutions exist, or if a new solution is feasible.
Collaborates with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure that the solution meets enterprise architecture standards and principles.
Participates in the design of solutions to ensure that the functional and non-functional scope and implementation are fully executed.
Reviews documentation from the system integrator and that provided by the system supplier, including architecture and system manuals, to ensure they are aligned with company requirements.
Provides input and reviews training materials provided by suppliers or the company.
Maintains a strong understanding of the overall technology architecture and technology products at LUMA to understand the issues and implications of any proposed system or hardware solution.
Prepares project documents as required.
Fully understands the software being supported and its relationship to company processes.
Works additional hours as required to support business needs.
Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.
Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility
Additional Job Description:
Education
Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
Additional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role: Associate degree in a relevant field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 3 years of experience performing a previous Analyst role.
Experience
3 - 5 years experience in systems analysis, business strategic support or related IT role.
Basic knowledge, especially in web languages such as HTML, CSS or JavaScript.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Oracle BI).
Experience implementing or supporting Workforce Management or Field Service Management solutions (e.g., Hitachi Service Suite, ClickSoftware, SAP FSM) preferred
Knowledge of an electric utility company preferred.
Good analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of system integration technologies (APIs, middleware like Oracle SOA Suite or MuleSoft) preferred
Understanding of IT Service Management processes (ITIL framework) preferred
Working with ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite) and related financial workflows preferred
Familiarity with cloud deployment models (Oracle Cloud, SaaS solutions) preferred
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills for cross-functional projects preferred
