As a Technology Specialist, your expertise in enterprise application platforms, servers, cloud infrastructure, networking, and security will be leveraged to provide detailed technical information, advice, and direction to organizational leadership and technical teams. You possess a strong understanding of the organization’s mission, products, and services and ensure that technical policies, guidance, and procedures are rigorous, comprehensive, and consistently applied.

You will contribute to projects and the day-to-day operation of application and integration infrastructure, with a focus on IBM technologies (including WebSphere, BAW, and ODM), Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Azure environments. In this role, you will act as a senior technical authority, supporting advanced technologies, leading complex troubleshooting efforts, and providing clear and precise communication to peers and leadership regarding work being performed, productivity, process improvements, and the status of systems operations.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

• Support a variety of application, integration, and infrastructure technologies, business departments, and systems, independently resolving complex issues and proactively communicating solutions
• Remain current on IT issues by acquiring and maintaining knowledge of relevant products, platforms, and initiatives, including IBM, Microsoft, and Azure technologies
• Research tools, technologies, and processes to evaluate their usefulness to departmental and corporate needs
• Support department policies by providing technically accurate solutions within established standards and guidelines
• Enhance the quality and efficiency of the Technical Services team by leading and participating in team projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure the delivery and availability of application and infrastructure services by providing subject matter technical expertise in support of project initiatives
• Investigate and participate as a 3rd-level (Tier 3) Subject Matter Expert in the resolution of complex application, server, and infrastructure issues to ensure maximum availability and stability
• Review, maintain, and provide ongoing improvements to the overall hardware, software, and cloud environments, including logging, monitoring, error tracking, and troubleshooting practices

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Strong theoretical skills and technical knowledge supported by formal education and 10+ years of practical, hands-on experience
• Extensive experience with Microsoft server and platform technologies, including advanced Windows Server administration
• Demonstrated expertise with IBM enterprise technologies, including IBM WebSphere Application Server and related middleware platforms
• Experience supporting and operating Microsoft Azure environments, including hybrid infrastructure and application integration
• Solid understanding of Wintel technology standards, with the ability to configure fast, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions
• Knowledge of Microsoft and enterprise security principles
• Experience with third-party products including, but not limited to, IBM MQ, OpenText Content Server, Archive Server, RightFax, MS BizTalk, and Microsoft DevOps tools
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex server, application, and infrastructure issues and identify root causes efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to support advanced technologies and mentor team members, bringing others up to speed to support, maintain, and upgrade critical platforms

 

 

Total Direct Compensation:

97,200 - 118,800

Any pay range is in $CAD
