About the role

As a Business Systems Analyst II, you will support an assigned portfolio of clients by serving as their key technical point of contact. You will analyze business requirements, document technical specifications, participate in release and change management, and help clients make the best use of FIS solutions. Your ability to understand card business processes, communicate clearly, and manage multiple initiatives will be essential to delivering an exceptional client experience.

What you will be doing

  • Building and maintaining strong technical relationships with client teams
  • Analyzing client business needs, estimating effort, and guiding them toward standard, scalable solutions
  • Converting business requirements into detailed technical specifications and securing sign‑off
  • Documenting and maintaining client system environments and configurations
  • Supporting product demonstrations and identifying additional revenue opportunities
  • Participating in release management activities and ensuring changes do not impact client operations negatively
  • Executing project work plans for simple and medium‑complexity initiatives
  • Acting as 24/7 first‑line Service Desk support, performing severity assessments and monitoring SLA adherence

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Approximately 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in analysis, programming, or issue analysis within financial services software
  • Strong understanding of card business, transaction processing or payment schemes
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize diverse workloads and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Added bonus if you have

  • Master’s degree in IT or a related field
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, ideally including financial services software, implementation, issue resolution, requirements gathering, and technical presentations
  • Knowledge of PRIME Licensing code
  • Programming skills (Oracle PL/SQL, C/C++, VB.NET, ASP.NET) and understanding of UNIX/Linux
  • ITIL or PMP certification
