WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As our Analyst II, Apparel Costing/Sourcing you will help create and enable the commercialization of highly crafted graphic driven garments. In this role you will be part of the North America Local Creation Team, reporting to the Costing Sourcing Manager. You will collaborate daily with Product Design, Product Line Management, Product Development, Demand & Supply Planning, Manufacturing teams and Factory Partners.

We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial person to manage apparel sourcing, cost planning activities. The ideal candidate is a flexible and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a cross-functional environment. They will take a proactive approach to bring multiple stakeholders together and collaborate on these key product creation activities (sourcing and product costing). This person will deliver results with clarity and accountability, demonstrating our shared purpose and commitments. This role is perfect for a teammate with product creation and manufacturing experience, coupled with strong communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, apparel, merchandising or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training. 
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience (supply chain, product or manufacturing experience a plus).
  • Apparel product creation experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of embellishments (especially prints & embroideries), textiles, garment & embellishment costing, project management and product creation process.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, work well in a fast-pace, entrepreneurial environment and work effectively in ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to manipulate and shape data to answer questions, identify trends, and provide business solutions to complex issues.
  • Ability to communicate up and down to different levels of the organization as well as listen and respond to diverse stakeholder input.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will be responsible driving profitability by defining the style-level targets by working with Finance to understand the Geo and Sport Focus profitability targets. Working with the triad teams to build the appropriate source strategy for each season. Manage Data integrity across systems and in support of the Costing/Sourcing and Development Teams.

  • You will review cost sheets to understand cost drivers and check for any errors. Work back with factory and manufacturing partners to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Mange cost sheet quote entry into systems across the NA Local Creation business.
  • Manage the sourcing/costing process for the product team and work across the organizational matrix. You'll provide margins reports to the team to ensure margins are tracking towards targets.
  • Create and execute a long range and seasonal sourcing plan in cooperation with the Costing Sourcing Manager. Collaborate with key stakeholder (PLMs/Development/Global Sourcing) to select the most appropriate manufacturing source to meet delivery, capacity, quality, and pricing needs.
  • Represent Apparel Sourcing in cross functional line planning with Development and PLMs to ensure products are sourced strategically. Taking into consideration material and silhouette availability, factory capabilities, and costing implications.
  • Input Apparel sourcing and duty rates in the system for each season and manage source plugs to secure factory capacity. Work with Demand Planning, PLMs, and Global Sourcing to update plugs based on future fabric, category, and forecast projections.
  • Cost test styles prior to sending kits out. Strong partnerships with PLMs and Development during proto reviews to review margins, cost drivers, and run cost scenarios to inform the team on material/graphic/trim change impacts on style and portfolio margin targets.
